Embu Senator Alexander Mundigi has pressed the Senate Committee on Roads, Transportation, and Housing to explain the prolonged delay in tarmacking the Siakago-Soko-Kamumu-Kanyuambora road in Mbeere North, Embu County.

Despite construction starting in 2021, only 3 kilometers of the 35-kilometer stretch have been completed. The project was retendered in 2023, yet progress remains frustratingly slow.

Senator Mundigi is now demanding a clear timeline and an explanation for the setbacks, urging the committee to ensure that funds allocated for the project are utilized effectively to avoid further delays.
