Harambee Stars duo of Kenneth Muguna and Joash Onyango were in action on Wednesday evening when their respective employers Azam FC and Simba SC played to a 1-1 draw at the Chamazi Complex.Both players made to the starting teams but their presence on the pitch did little in inspiring their sides to collect maximum points.Zambian national Rodgers Kola gave Azam fans something to celebrate as he put his side ahead in the 37th minute after he was put through by Sospeter B Former Azam players John Bocco and Shomari Kapombe combined to not only to show the quality the ice-cream makers lost few years ago but to draw Simba level as the former found the back of the in the 45th minute.
Kapombe whipped in a sumptuous ball from a free kick given after veteran defender Aggrey Morris brought Bocco down, and the latter did not disappoint as he used his height to nod home the equalizer.The draw means that Simba are trailing league leaders Yanga by ten points while Azam will have to step up if they are to clinch the third place at the end of the season as they are behind Namungo and Geita Gold.
