St. Peters Lifeline Kajuki,a local NGO has launched a sanitary towel manufacturing industry which will be distributed for free to school girls from the County to keep them at school during their menstrual times.According to the programs coordinator Veronica Nyaga,the project will benefit even girls joining school later as the contract between them and financiers allows the project to go for years.The facility is currently stocked with materials that can make up to 600,000 pieces of sanitary pads.David one of the sponsors said the project is a way of giving back to the community having been born and educated in Kenya.Tharaka Nithi First Lady Margret Muthoni who had graced the event lauded the project that she said is of great impact to girl child from the County.
