Israel Prime Minister Naftali Bennet is preparing to step down this week. In a statement released on Monday, Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid announced that they would disband the Knesset and send Israel back to its fifth election in three and a half years. Bennett and Lapid said they had “exhausted” avenues to stabilize their rocky minority coalition. ~Times of Israel.

Yair Lapid will take over as acting Prime Minister as the country prepares to hold a general election probably in November this year.

Former Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu welcomed the news of eventual collapse of 8 party coalition government. Bibi is hoping for a come back as his party Likud and it’s allies are expected to win more seats in the Knesset.
