Police in Kilgoris, Narok County, have arrested a Class Eight pupil suspected of killing two children aged 5 and 10 before dumping their bodies at a nearby garden.
In the Saturday, July 2, incident, the pupil reportedly went ahead to attack the childrens’ mother, who was 6 months pregnant and who died on Sunday.
Confirming the incident, Transmara West Sub-County Police Commander Hamisi Ganzallah said the suspect presented himself before the police on Saturday, claiming he had been attacked by unknown assailants on his way home.
As he was taking the police to the scene of the alleged attack, they met neighbors rescuing a pregnant woman who had been attacked with a machete and officers rushed her to the Kilgoris Mission Hospital later transferred to Narok county hospital when she succumbed to injuries.
Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the killings.
Three bodies have since been taken to the Kilgoris Mission Hospital mortuary.
