The rise in Teen pregnancy, sexual violence and HIV cases in Meru is alarming. The National AIDS Control Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the National Council for Population and Development and Meru county government on Thursday 14th July organised a sensotisation forum to discuss ways to cub the vices.Statistics show that between January and May this year, more than 10,000 hirls have become pregnant in Meru County which has led to them dropping out of school. According to Health PS Susan Mochache the statistics show that Meru county leads in Early Pregnancy cases with the county heating at 38% of the total cases.#meru#createawareness
