NO ONE DIED AT MUKOTHIMA YESTERDAY-T.NORTH POLICE BOSS SAYS ,Amid reports on socials that a boy lost life yesterday at Mukothima after two political camps crashed on same venue,Tharaka North Subcounty police commander Gabriel Kimanzi Mwangangi has refuted the claims as mere propaganda aimed at tarnishing name of a certain candidate.Kimanzi says investigations are underway to establish the source of the grapevine which he says a certain camp is using to seek sympathy votes for their candidate by mudslinging the opponent and culprits will be recording statements with police to further establish their motive.”I urge the public to remain calm as we have established that no life was lost.A candidate is trying to seek popularity and sympathy votes by pendling the propaganda which is tainting the opponent’s name in bad light,” he said Further,Kimanzi clarified that such allegations are serious and if the culprit is not in a position to substantiate them risks lawsuit.Worth noting,after the fracas that that are alleged by the rumour mongers to cause the death,Tharaka MP Gitonga Murugara went to press breathing fire that a security from his opponent Muchomba Marigu had stoned dead a young boy at Mukothima and his camp was planning how to lay to rest the minor.”What has really angered us is a goon from the so called BMM security who has stoned dead a young boy.We shall chip in to ensure the minor gets a decent send off and from tomorrow we shall record necessary statements with police to have legal action taken against Muchomba Marigu,” Murugara said.What followed is the same allegations flooding social media pages including that of the MP and which police have come out to clear.The police boss has called for tolerance during election and assured residents of ample security as they exercise their democratic rights.
